SPAETZLE
(part of the Hungarian Demo by Alex Horvath)
2 cups flour
3 eggs
½ cup water
2 T of cream of wheat (optional)
2 T milk (optional)
Salt and Pepper to taste
Mix all ingredients together in bowl until very soft sticky
dough is formed. Bring 3 quarts of salt water to boil.
When boiling put dough through the spaetzle maker.
If you do not have a spaetzle maker, place dough on plate and using a
spoon, tear off small pieces of the dough directly into the boiling water.
Cook spaetzles rise to the top of pan.
Strain.
