What is "Marchands de vin"?

a. Wine Merchants specializing in red full-bodied wines.

b. French sauce made from a heavily reduced mixture of full-bodied red wine, typically chopped shallots, cracked pepper, and glace de viande (reduced meat sauce), and at the last minute, butter, lemon juice and minced parsley are whisked into the reduction. It is a popular accompaniment for grilled or roasted meats.
