Tips and Tricks for Burned Cake Bottoms

Question?   I have problems with cakes being burn on the bottom, yet the center of the cake is undone and oftentimes collapsed.   How can I prevent this from happening at high altitude?

Answer.     Place the cake pan on a thin layer of coarse salt on top of a baking sheet.
